Zero tolerance to drink-driving urged
Tue, 10 Jun 2014DRIVERS are being urged to pledge not to drink any alcohol before driving this summer as the police launches a new drink-driving campaign. The call comes from road safety charity Brake, which reports that the 2013 summer drink-driving campaign by the police breathalysed 100,892 drivers and 5170 failed the test. This summer’s football World Cup is a cause for concern for the police as drivers may be tempted to have an alcoholic drink while watching a football match before getting into their car.
New Qoros at Geneva 2014 – looks like a Crossover/SUV
Fri, 27 Dec 2013New Qoros at Geneva 2014 – looks like a Crossover/SUV Chinese car maker Qoros – hoping to make inroads in to the European market with its Qoros 3 saloon – is heading for the Geneva Motor Show in March with a new model, teased today in a pair of photos. Qoros’s first production model – the Qoros 3 – arrived in production guise at Geneva this year as a convincing – if generic -looking – four-door saloon, which we did think an odd route to go to break in to Europe. But the next Qoros – previewed here in a couple of teaser photos – looks to be a production version of the Qoros Cross Hybrid Concept Qoros showed at Geneva and a much better route to grabbing a slice of Europe’s car sales.
Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake: Official
Sat, 30 Jun 2012The new Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake has finally been revealed before going on sale in November as a 2013 model. The 2013 Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake has been officially revealed by Mercedes-Benz, which is just as well as it’s on show at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend. With the British penchant for estates – and love of what is the most stylish of Mercedes – you’d think the UK would get a nice big range of models of the new CLS Shooting Brake to choose from, but it seems not.
