Roadmaster Even Brake

Even Brake is the world’s only portable, proportional towed car braking system. It automatically increases or decreases braking pressure in direct proportion to the coach.

In other words, it brakes evenlyat the same time, and at the same intensity, as you brake the coach.

Proportional braking is a distinct advantage over "on-or-off" systems, which brake at one preset level, no matter how hard the coach stops. Even Brake delivers full emergency braking when you need it, and won’t cause excessive brake wear when you don’t. Nobody brakes the same way every time — and neither does Even Brake.

Easy as 1 - 2 - 3 to connect!

Step 1
Position Even Brake between seat and brake pedal. Adjust the Even Brake pedal clamp over brake pedal.
Step 2
Slide the driver’s seat up to Even Brake
.
Step 3
Plug in the wiring harness cord, the power cord, and press the Test button. Ready...Set...Tow!

Exclusive Features:

Proportional braking — Proportional braking is even braking — your towed car’s brakes respond to your motorhome’s brakes, at the same time and at the same intensity.
Constant self-diagnostic testing — Even Brake monitors its own performance constantly, and any change in system status is transmitted to the motorhome monitor. Even Brake is the only supplemental braking system that checks itself, so you don’t have to — a glance at the monitor assures you that Even Brake is fully operational.
‘Power Save’ low battery protection — Even Brake warns you of a low battery in the towed vehicle with LED and LCD alerts at the motorhome monitor, giving you time to recharge the battery. If the battery’s voltage drops too low, Even Brake cuts power to the system, while retaining emergency braking power.
Automatically delivers maximum braking pressure in an emergency or a break away situation — Even Brake works the most when you need it the most.
Emergency break away system included — brings your vehicle to a controlled stop should it ever separate from your motorhome.

An even better way to brake your towed vehicle!
Even Brake by Roadmaster is the only portable, proportional towed car braking system that constantly monitors itself, giving you continuous information about system status and function for maximum towing and braking safety. It's a step ahead of all other portable, supplemental towed car braking systems on the market today! EXCLUSIVE Even Brake Features:
  • Proportional braking applies the same braking pressure to your towed car as you apply to your motorhome brakes for consistent braking throughout the stop, with no "drop out" after a few seconds of continuous braking
  • Constant braking information and system status keeps you in touch with towed car braking capability at all times for maximum towing safety
  • Continuous self-diagnostic testing instantly recognizes problems and alerts you via the wireless dashtop monitor
  • Three-tier monitor offers red-green-yellow LED display, LCD text message and audio alert to eliminate any guesswork about system status
  • Automatic low battery protection cuts power to system except for panic stops
  • Automatic brake protection signals extended towed car braking
  • Touch pad control panel makes programming fast and easy
  • Adjusts to your braking preferences on braking force and sensitivity; on-board memory remembers settings after you disconnect it
  • Terrain-sensing logic prevents unwanted braking when you go over a pot hole, speed bump or rough road surfaces
  • Emergency stop override applies maximum braking pressure in panic stops, regardless of brake settings
  • 20% smaller than other systems, to fit more vehicles-including Jeep Liberty
  • Transmitter is incorporated inside the unit
  • Only 2 connections in the towed car: power cord and diagnostics feed

When you apply your motorhome's brakes, Even Brake's microprocessor signals a magnetic valve to release a proportionate amount of air pressure against the towed car's brake pedal, slowing the towed car at the same rate as the coach.

Advantages of Even Brake's Proportional Braking:

  • Full emergency braking when you need it, no excessive brake wear during normal braking (unlike basic "on or off" systems)
  • Stop completely in less time and shorter distance
  • Reduced chance of critical brake failure, such as when descending steep mountain grades

Why Use a Supplementary Towed Car Braking System?

  • Required by law in most U.S. states and Canadian provinces (Even Brake meets all current U.S. and Canadian requirements)
  • Prevents voiding motorhome chassis warranty by towing more than specified limits without supplementary brakes (Chevrolet: 1000 lbs. Ford: 1500 lbs.)
  • Reduce wear on motorhome brakes, extending their life
  • Reduce stress on tow bar, mounting brackets and towed car frame

Even Brake comes complete with an emergency breakaway system that brings your towed car to a safe, controlled stop if it accidentally separates from the motorhome; an easy-to-read, wireless dashtop monitor with red/yellow/green LED braking condition indicator, LCD text message status explanation and audio emergency alert tone, and the compact, lightweight braking unit that fits easily into virtually any vehicle, including compact SUVs. Requires one-time installation and set-up

Rimac Concept One electric supercar offered at Top Marques Monaco

    Mon, 30 Apr 2012

The Top Marques Monaco show at the Grimaldi Forum doesn’t feature the best from Ford, Subaru and Hyundai. What it does feature is booths from lesser-known, bespoke automakers such as Pagani, Hamann, Noble and Croatian supercar-maker Rimac. Rimac introduced the Concept One electric vehicle at the Frankfurt motor show in September.

2014 BMW M5 facelift leaked – by BMW’s own website

    Tue, 14 May 2013

Fortunately, the BMW news specialists at BimmerPost were on the ball and managed to get some screen-grab photos of the new M5 before BMW realised their mistake, so we get to see what BMW has planned for the M5, and probably a guide to what the facelift for the rest of the 5-Series range will offer. The changes aren’t huge, and as far as we can see all that’s going on is a bit of influence from the M6 and 6-Series in general, with a new kidney grill that looks like the 6 Series, and a steering wheel looks like that on the new M6 too, together with the latest iDrive controller. The leaked images don’t tell us what BMW are planning under the bonnet of the facelifted M5, but it’s not too much of a stretch to expect a Competition Package for the M5 to give it similar clout to the new Mercedes E63 AMG S.

Porsche 911 (2011) the first official video of the 991

    Tue, 19 Jul 2011

Prototypes of Porsche’s new 991-spec 911 haven’t been snapped out on test by our spies this week, so just in case you’ve been having withdrawal symptoms, Stuttgart’s most famous sports car manufacturer has released its own video of its iconic car. What does Porsche’s official video of the new 911 reveal?  Shot in South Africa during the 991’s final validation and testing phase, the video is our best look yet at the new 911 on the move. We finally get to hear the flat six engines, and get glimpses under the bonnet and inside its Panamera-inspired interior – look closely and you can spy the seven forward speeds etched onto the gearknob for the manual ‘box.  Beyond that there’s little more to see, as Porsche won’t reveal the new 911 until the 2011 Frankfurt motor show this September.
