Why are Roadmaster mounting brackets rated #1?
  • Every bracket design is subjected to computer-simulated Finite Elemental Analysis. ROADMASTER is the only towing products manufacturer to invest in the software and technology that Boeing, Lockheed Martin, GM and NASA use to ensure the integrity of their products. This allows ROADMASTER to offer the safest products possible for your family.
  • Every mounting bracket is custom-made to fit a specific vehicle or range of vehicles, and to attach at logical points along the frame or undercarriage, for maximum strength and a quick, easy installation (in lieu of specific mechanical experience with similar products, professional installation is recommended).
  • Every new bracket (not just a few) in the ROADMASTER Extra Large, MX, AND EZ Twistlock series (the brackets are described below) comes with detachable extensions which are easily removed when the vehicle isn't being towed - no unsightly steel hanging off the front of your car!
  • Every bracket is powder coated. In this process, charged particles of pigment are baked into the surface of the bracket. The particles fuse to the metal and form a lustrous, uniform and extremely durable finish.
  • ROADMASTER is quick to market brackets for new vehicles, and has the widest selection - currently, more than 1000 different mounting brackets (far more than any other company) - which fit more than 2000 different makes and models.
XL Series Hidden Brackets
  • The visible portion of the brackets (the front arms) can be easily removed when not towing - remove two hitch pins to convert from towed car to road car in seconds!
  • They're virtually invisible - improved aesthetics
  • Computer-cut, all-steel components for exceptional strength
  • Easy to install - ROADMASTER brackets use existing attachment points on the vehicle's undercarriage - no welding!
  • Most install through the grille - no scraping brackets in dips or against curbs.

One Lap of the Web: Fastest burger in the West

Fri, 14 Feb 2014

-- Orange Coast Magazine has a profile on the mysterious Lynsi Snyder, CEO and heiress to the greatest hamburger in America, In-N-Out Burger. (If you dispute this, I will come to your house and stomp on your perennials.) Fun fact: she is also an accomplished drag racer, racing an nine-second Dodge Dart in the NHRA's front-drive SS/HA class; she also splits her seat time between a 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda and a 1984 Chevy Camaro. In-N-Out also sponsors Melanie Troxel's Dodge Charger R/T funny car, which we assume emits the tantalizing aroma of an Animal Style Double-Double as it races down every quarter mile.

One Lap of the Web: Happy birthday, John DeLorean, a legally imported Nissan Skyline, Amphicar for sale and the Righini Collection

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

-- Bust out the candles: American success story, visionary futurist and import/export whiz John DeLorean was born this day in 1925. Everyone knows about his battle to launch the DeLorean Motor Company, but the man behind the stainless-steel legend had a long career as a brilliant engineer that included time at Chrysler, Packard and General Motors. And while we might not all be driving DeLoreans today, we're still talking about both the man and the company -- which is pretty impressive when you think about it.

A look at Cadillac future products

Fri, 27 Jul 2012

General Motors has green-lighted the development of a large flagship sedan for Cadillac, sources say, part of its plan to position its luxury brand's lineup to take on the German luxury stalwarts in every key sedan segment. The flagship sedan is to be built on a new rear-wheel-drive platform and arrive by 2015. The long-rumored rwd flagship would challenge the BMW 7-series and Mercedes-Benz S-class and is a key to GM's ambitions to expand Cadillac in China.
