Once you weld a tube connector into your tube, if you smooth out the welds, all you'll see is a small allen bolt which looks a lot better than the normal exhaust flanges that people use to connect tubes together on a sand rail, dune buggy, rock crawler, or mud buggy. Tube connectors are the easiest way to make a section of a chassis removable. Indiana yanks Kruse auction licenses
Wed, 26 May 2010Kruse Inc., the auction company that sold the famous William Harrah car collection and has been synonymous with auctioning enthusiast automobiles since the 1970s, has lost its licenses in its home state. The Indiana Auctioneer Commission ruled on Tuesday to revoke both of Kruse Inc.'s licenses, and the company has to wait seven years to apply for new ones, said Kelly Butters, a spokeswoman for the Indiana Attorney General's Office. Dean Kruse, president of the auction house, has had his personal license suspended indefinitely.
Ford Police Interceptor revealed, set to hit the streets in 2011
Fri, 12 Mar 2010Ford's new Taurus-based squad car is set to go on patrol in late 2011, replacing the venerable Crown Victoria in police fleets across the country. With EcoBoost V6 power and all-wheel drive, the new purpose-built Police Interceptor is a departure from the traditional rear-wheel-drive, V8 Crown Vics which have been a mainstay of police fleets for more than 15 years. It will be offered when production of the Crown Victoria ends late next year.
