Infiniti JX (7-seat crossover) tease – now it’s the C-Pillar. Whoopee!
Fri, 22 Jul 2011Infiniti JX Concept Tease - now it's the kinky c-pillar Last week we finally relented and decided we needed to cover the tease ahead of the launch at Pebble Beach of the Infiniti JX Crossover. So far we’ve had a blurry motion image which gave us a familiar Crossover/SUV shape, a glimpse of the front from low-down on the front nearside three-quarters, and a shot of the tail light with a glimpse up the side of the JX. Concept Car of the Week: Mazda RX500 (1970)
Thu, 30 Jan 2014Developed by the Toyo Kogyo Company's advanced design and engineering team, the Mazda RX-500 was described as a ‘mobile test bed for high-speed safety'. Looking at its design, the team's childlike enthusiasm has shone through, resulting in a very cool concept. From the rakish front to the wraparound windscreen and on to the bread van rear, everything communicates high-tech and ‘70's futurism while also channeling a little of the Star Wars X-Wing. Thanks to plastic body panels, the concept weighs only 850kg and is powered by a 491cc rotary engine delivering 247bhp fitted behind the cabin, in front of the rear axle.

Aside from some left-field interior design details, the big news is that the car is, well, bigger than its production predecessor. Industry sources claim this latest interpretation of the Clubman is close to being production ready, hinting at a car with more cabin and load space than before.
