***PLEASE BE AWARE*** There is potential to encounter problems with this "Rebuilt Old Stock" carburetor...it is NOT a fresh rebuild and the company that rebuilt it is out of business. It is sold as is.

***UP FOR AUCTION*** You are bidding on a LONG AGO REBUILT, Holley brand, 1 barrel carburetor. The code on the piece is 9762. I crossed it to Tomco rebuilt # 1-412. According to my old carburetor catalogs, this is the carburetor used on 1979-1982 Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth (CAR & TRUCK) 225 slant 6 engines. THIS MAY BE A WONDERFUL RESTORATION PIECE FOR THAT EARLY 80's Dodge D-100 pickup or Ramcharger 4X4. You may want one as a spare just for the parts. This unit was in packaged warehouse storage for over 25 years. Fortunately, those years in a "climate controlled warehouse" were kind to this piece...it looks GOOD...It does exhibit rust, tarnish, grime, dust and oxidation due to the box lid being open for many years. You will receive what you see in photos... Study photos for general condition of this item. This carb is old stock from an auto parts warehouse. You or a carburetor repair specialist MAY need to clean and refurbish it a bit...AGAIN, it was rebuilt over 25 years ago and has been sitting in storage ever since..."common sense"...it may need to be re-conditioned. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY and THERE IS NO RETURN. Please use the photos as a guide and do some "CAREFUL" research on your own. Is this the correct carb for your classic MOPAR vehicle? Please be sure you want this part before you bid.

CDN and GM launch new interactive competition for students in North America

Tue, 12 Apr 2011

Multiple internships on offer with CDN-GM Interactive Competition Car Design News is pleased to announce the launch of the Car Design News-GM interactive design competition, a collaboration with GM and our partners, Dassault Systèmes and Faurecia. Eight student winners will be awarded internships at GM's design studios in North America in 2012 as the principal prizes, whilst our partner, Faurecia, will be choosing its own additional winner and offering this student an internship at its studios in either the US, Europe or Asia.  The competition is open to students studying at college/university level in the USA and Canada, on any design course, and to former students who graduated from these courses within the period April 2010 to March 2011. Students display and update their ideas and work-in-progress on the competition's website, where the interactivity comes from the ability of observers to comment and suggest specific amendments, and from GM mentors who will publicly guide and support the students.

McLaren P1 bare carbon fibre option

Tue, 11 Jun 2013

McLaren are considering a full bare carbon fibre option for the P1 (pictured) With the McLaren P1 now getting close to hitting the road as a customer car (and arriving at Goodwood on the move in July), the lucky few with pockets deep enough to buy a car that will cost them pushing on £1 million are busy poring over the options for the P1. We spoke to one such customer over the weekend who was busy deciding which boxes to tick on the P1 spec sheet, and he was under the impression that McLaren were offering a full bare carbon fibre option for the P1, and at no cost. Which didn’t sound right.
