***PLEASE BE AWARE*** There is potential to encounter problems with this "Rebuilt Old Stock" carburetor...it is NOT a fresh rebuild and the company that rebuilt it is out of business. It is sold as is.

***UP FOR AUCTION*** You are bidding on a long ago rebuilt, Rebuilt Old Stock, Rochester brand, 2 barrel carburetor # 7040148. That is the number on the rebuilder's box. I crossed it to Tomco rebuilt # 2-319. According to my old catalogs, this carburetor applies to 1969-1971 AMC, American Motors Corp., JEEP and BUICK vehicles equipped with 350 c.i.d., 8 cylinder engines. THIS IS A RARE FIND AND PERHAPS A GREAT RESTORATION PIECE FOR THAT EARLY 70's "JEEP GLADIATOR" with the Buick Dauntless 350. There are still some of these classic engines in service and this is a R.O.S. carb at a bargain price. So revive that classic 350 c.i. Cherokee with a "ROS" carburetor. It has never had gasoline in it since the rebuild and has been sitting in packaged storage for over 30 years. AND fortunately, because of being stored in a CLIMATE-CONTROLLED building, this piece is in a GOOD condition...it does exhibit dust, rust and grime due to the box lid being open for many years. Please study photos for general condition of this item. You will receive what is shown in photos. This part is old stock from an auto parts warehouse. You or a carburetor repair specialist MAY need to clean and refurbish it a bit...AGAIN, it was re-manufactured over 30 years ago and has been sitting in storage ever since..."common sense"...it may need to be re-conditioned. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OR WARRANTY and THERE IS NO RETURN. Please use the photos as a guide and do some "CAREFUL" research on your own. NHTSA probes shattering liftgate glass on Ford SUVs

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating about 200,000 copies of the 2010 and 2011 Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner SUVs for liftgate glass that reportedly shatters. There have been 18 complaints of the liftgate window breaking, four resulting in injuries. The models involved were built on or before Oct.

Case in point: Acura sent us a kit of secret-agent tests showcasing the role of its cars in the movie Thor. Touting the carmaker’s first stint in a major motion picture, the so-called Acura S.H.I.E.L.D.
