  Seller purchased engine to use on Rans S-10, but later decided to mount Jabiru engine.  The "C" gear box is new. Has oil injection.  No hoses are included.  An intake silencer (not shown) is included.  Seller has not run engine (nor attempted!).  Seller has a new engine mount for Rans for sale.    Engine serial number is 4892361.  Will crate for freight shipment, or will package in 2 cartons/crates (if necessary) for UPS shipment. Buyer arranges pick-up and pays for shipping; my labor is free.  The muffler was for an unknown application.  The ignition switch shown in photo is not included.  Fuel valve and primer (not shown) are included.

Consumer Reports releases 2013 reliability rankings

Japanese brands continue to dominate the Consumer Reports Annual Auto Reliability rankings, while some European brands gained and Ford Motor Co. continued to rank near the bottom of the industry. Lexus, Toyota and Acura swept the top three spots in the 2013 rankings and Japanese brands took seven of the top 10 places.

We saw the initial design study at the 2012 Paris motor show, and shortly afterwards, CAR spied disguised prototypes putting in the hard testing yards on the mountain roads of Spain. By the 2013 Geneva motor show, McLaren was ready to pull the wraps off the finished (and barely altered) P1 design, and give us hints to some of the performance figures offered by a carbonfibre, aero-focused missile using a combination of twin-turbo V8 and electric boost power.

Peugeot 90X breaks cover

Once a well kept secret in Peugeots Sport factory in Vélizy, near Paris, Peugeots new 2011, codenamed 90X, has been out and about for its first test at the Monza track. While the 90X complies with the new ACO's 2011 regulations, it still requires some considerable amount of work to be done to be ready for 2011. A curvier windscreen and slight change to the nose but the biggest changes are the new fin leading from the cockpit to the rear spoiler, aimed to offer more down force and avoid flipping in the case of a high speed crash.
