Featuring a pair of 1 quart bottles of 75w90 Royal Purple gear oil and 1 4oz bottle of Friction Modifier, this kit has everything you need to refill your differential.

Formulated to improve the efficiency of rear end assemblies and manual transmissions. Virtually eliminates both gear and bearing wear. API GL-4 / GL-5 Certified.

Max-Gear is an ultra-tough automotive gear oil. It’s designed to maximize power and provide unsurpassed protection to heavily loaded gears. It makes gears run smoother, quieter, cooler and longer without overhauls.

Max-Gear outperforms other gear oils because it combines the highest quality synthetic oils with Royal Purple’s proprietary Synslide additive technology.

Max-Gear is recommended for use in truck, motor home / RV, and automotive front or rear differentials, manual transmissions, and lower gear units of marine engines that specify use of an API GL-5 or GL-4 fluid. All viscosities of Max-Gear are formulated with hypoid friction modifiers necessary for use in clutch or cone type differentials. No additional additives are necessary.

Although the Royal Purple gear oil contains friction modifier, we highly recommend including the Ford Racing friction modifier along with the gear oil when refilling your rear end.

I could not have asked for a better product! I paired this with my entire rear end rebuild. It is silky smooth. I recommend the Ford Racing friction modifier over the standard fluid that comes with the differential.

Needed to replace fluid when swapping to FR differential cover. I like quiet when cruising and wasn't sure if I should take a chance on 75w90 vs factory recommended 140 gear oil. Happy to say I noticed no extra noise! I also bought an extra quart of RP since capacity listed is 5 pints (80oz) and the kit is 68oz. Oddly only could squeeze an extra 6 oz in?
