New Jaguar XE OFFICIALLY launched – price from £27,000
Tue, 09 Sep 2014The new Jaguar XE arrives After months of teasing, years of planning and huge sums of money spent, it’s here – the new Jaguar XE. Looking like a slightly smaller version of the XF, with an upright nose, longish bonnet, coupe-like profile and stubby tail, the XE is clearly a Jaguar – and a fairly conservative one at that – which is probably sensible when entering such a competitive sector as the ‘Premium’ compact saloon market. But the new XE isn’t just a punt for a few sales in a new sector for Jaguar, but a car that could take Jaguar from an interesting maker of relatively low volume cars to a global ‘Premium’ car maker; nose to nose in a very competitive sector with, principally, Audi and the A4, BMW and the 3 Series and Mercedes and the C-Class.
Ferrari apologises for 458 burning rubber on Great Wall of China (video)
Thu, 10 May 2012Ferrari 458 'damaging' the Great Wall of China Ferrari hired a section of the Great Wall of China for a publicity event, but an employee damaged the Great Wall by burning rubber in a 458 Italia. China is a very big deal for Ferrari, as evidenced not only by rising sales but by the special editions Ferrari sells in to the burgeoning luxury car market in China, like the 458 Italia China Special Edition. Sot it’s no surprise that Ferrari wanted to hire out a section of the Great Wall from local authorities in China for a bit of an ‘event’.
Cadillac CTS teaser
Wed, 20 Dec 2006By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 20 December 2006 06:47 Yes, it's yet another teaser... This time, Cadillac is giving us a sneak preview of its new CTS saloon that'll be shown at the Detroit Motor Show in January. This shot (with GM design boss Ed Welburn, left, and product chief Bob Lutz) proves that Cadillac is sticking with its brutishly angular design, although no other details have been announced yet.
