The Spartacus HD Tire Carrier System provides the ultimate in strength and stability for mounting your oversized wheel and tire. Functionally designed to manage the amplified force and vibrations produced during extreme off-road conditions. The precision die-cast aluminum Hinge Casting provides maximum strength without the excess weight of steel. The one-piece design maintains one-handed access to cargo area and rigidly links the Wheel Mount to the reinforced section of the rear quarter panel. This, in combination with forged steel hinge brackets and hardened steel pins, results in far superior load capacity than the factory tailgate hinges, thereby effectively reducing wear and increasing longevity. The Wheel Mount lifts the mounting position and incorporates depth and tilt adjustability for large diameter and wide tire options. Tested to MIL-STD-810 to simulate extended duration of vigorous off-road driving conditions. Rated for up to and including 37" wheel tire combinations. Includes adjustable third brake light bracket. We’ve had plenty of spy shots of the new Range Rover in the last year as Land Rover work hard to sort out the vital replacement for the now 10 year old Range Rover, and we’ve even had spy video of the new Land Rover halo car at the Nurburgring. Now we’re hearing that Land Rover are planning to debut the new Range Rover at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.

Tue, 08 Jun 2010Once upon a time there was a small boy, about seven years old, who had taken an interest in cars at a rather early stage, mainly thanks to his old man, who was (and, thankfully, still is) a car enthusiast and, back in those days, a staunch supporter of a certain Southern German marque. This naturally meant that the small boy would sometimes be a bit annoyed by his father's occasionally overbearing passion, but at the same time usually knit his eyebrows himself whenever he came across something sporting four wheels but no blue & white propeller (which, he believed, was the way things were supposed to be). So the foundations had been laid to turn this very young chap into a proper petrolhead one day, but his interest remained relatively casual and moderate until that one fateful evening.
