Marvel’s Captain America car by Daniel Simon [w/Video]

Automotive designer and futurist Daniel Simon has had his vehicle design from ‘Captain America: The First Avenger' featured in a short animation. This 10-wheeler 1942 supercharged V16 Coupe, the personal car of Marvel's villain Johann Schmidt (the Red Skull), is 7,620 mm long and was inspired by cars such as Mercedes' 540K and the G4. The director's instructions for the car's size  led to a truck chassis having to be used for the practical film version.

Mercedes SL 65 AMG unveiled in New York The new Mercedes SL 65 AMG has been revealed at the New York Auto Show and Mercedes are doing a 45th anniversary special to celebrate. To celebrate the launch of the 2013 SL 65 AMG and the 45th anniversary of the first SL, Mercedes has announced a special edition SL 65 to soak up a few more pennies from those already willing to pay getting on for £200k for an SL – the Mercedes SL 65 AMG 45th Anniversary Edition.

The Cadillac CTS-V Wagon / Estate will debut at the New York Motor Show After Bob Lutz’ comments that the Cadillac CTS-V will come in any flavour you want, we’ve known that not only will there be a CTS-V Coupe – which was officially revealed in January at Detroit – but that there would be a Cadillac CTS-V Wagon as well. The arrival of the CTS-V Estate became certain when we got hold of spy photos of the CTS-V Estate and now Cadillac has issued official pictures of the load-lugging, barn-storming Wagon ahead of its official reveal at the New York Motor Show this week. Cadillac aren’t calling the New York Show Car a Concept, but nor do they consider it a production version.
