Thu, 04 Sep 2014The New Jaguar XE final video tease (probably) Jaguar has been working hard to build excitement for the new XE – effectively a replacement for the old X-Type to take on the might of Audi, Mercedes and BMW in the compact saloon sector – and we’ve had no end of teases in the last few months. But now, with the debut of the Jaguar XE in a marketing extravaganza in London on Monday (8 September) Jaguar has released what we expect will be the final tease for the new XE. What we get is a 15 second overview of Jaguar’s current cars, interspersed with snippets of views of the new XE and a sound track that seems to include the exhaust note of the new XE too.
Corvette icon Duntov added to Bloomington Gold hall
Wed, 05 Dec 2012Zora-Arkus Duntov, the first chief engineer for the Chevrolet Corvette, is among 10 people who will be added to the Bloomington Gold Corvettes USA's Great Hall next summer. The Great Hall is a form of hall of fame started by Bloomington Gold, an annual Corvette restoration and car show event that rewards cars for being maintained in original or factory-correct condition. The event is held in late June.

US artist David Macaluso has painted a portrait of Lewis Hamilton using oil not from a tube of paint, but from the sump of Hamilton’s F1 car. The oil was taken from Vodafone McLaren Mercedes’ 2008 F1 car – the vehicle that took Hamilton to the world championship last year.
