Land Rovers at greater risk of theft

Police in Derbyshire have even reported a crime spree, with 12 Land Rover vehicles stolen in their region between November 2013 and January 2014. All police forces across the UK are urging owners of this type of vehicle to be extra vigilant and secure their vehicles.

Sat, 16 Feb 2013Ahead of a reveal of a concept version of the Toyota GT86 Convertible at the Geneva Motor Show, the soft-top GT86 has been spied Almost a year ago we learned that a Toyota GT86 Convertible was in the planning after Toyota’s chief engineer, Tetsuya Tada, revealed that the GT86 (and therefore the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ) were designed to be a convertible from the start. Shortly after that revelation, we saw the first glimpse of a future GT86 Convertible in the shape of the Scion FR-S Speedster at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, an officially sanctioned speedster version of the GT86 created by Iacona Design and Cartel Customs. Most recently, Toyota revealed that they are taking the the FT-86 Open Concept to next month’s Geneva Motor Show, a car that looks to preview an almost production-ready GT86 Convertible, which could arrive in production guise before the end of 2013.

Fri, 11 Sep 2009The Toyota Auris Hybrid, which will debut at Frankfurt The Auris Hybrid will be the first Toyota Hybrid to be built in Europe – at Toyota’s UK plant. Scheduled to go on sale in the second half of 2010, the Auris hybrid utilises the same powertrain as the third-gen Prius, namely a 1.8 litre, 97bhp petrol engine with a bank of nickel-metal hydride batteries and an electric motor. This will give the Auris Hybrid a 0-60 mph time of around 10 seconds and emissions below the critical 100g/km (not 99g/km, by any chance?).
