Up for auction is a copy of the OEM Saab 99 Spare Parts Catalogue, Reservdels-katalog, M 1969-73. This rare binder book is used in fair/good condition for its age/use. There is a good bit of wear, interior pages show some dirt, grime, smudging, etc. There are inserts/updates in this book, no doubt put in by the mechanic as he received them. This is a well-used and rare item. Thu, 17 Oct 2013Volvo consign normal car batteries to the history book by using body panels for storage As our cars become more and more reliant on power from batteries – either to run the multitude of technology or top provide power for electric motors – the cost and size of the batteries needed continues to grow. But Volvo have been working an an alternative for the last 3.5 years which can potentially do away with the battery and instead store power in body panels. Volvo has built an experimental S80 which has body panels made of carbon fibre and polymer resins and structural super capacitors.
Subaru launches production of BRZ, Scion FR-S coupes in Japan
Fri, 16 Mar 2012Subaru on Friday officially launched production of the rear-drive BRZ sports coupe in its Gunma Main Plant factory in Japan. The plant also builds the Toyota version--which will be sold as the Scion FR-S in the United States--as the Toyota 86 in Japan and as the Toyota GT-86 in Europe. We expect the Subaru BRZ and the Scion FR-S to be in U.S.
