New MoT failure figures reveal surprises

BETWEEN January and August 2013 253,000 vehicles failed their first MoT, according to new data. 70 million records from the Vehicle Operation and Services Agency (VOSA) were examined to reveal the patterns of failure for cars receiving their first MoT, required three years from the date of first registration. However, while the best performers have pre-existing reputations for reliability, the bottom of the table reveals some surprises.

Ford Fiesta sedan for U.S. market gets minor changes

Ford is busy courting the youth population as potential buyers for the new Fiesta--it has brought 100 Fiesta five-doors over from Europe and loaned them to people for extended test drives. Hot Wheels Ford Transit and custom F-100 break cover at SEMA

Ford is making its Transit Connect van cool the only way it knows how: with the help of Hot Wheels. The company unveiled a customized royal blue van today at SEMA in Las Vegas. Alongside the Transit, the Blue Oval also revealed a customized 1956 Ford F-100 pickup, codenamed Snakebit, for charity.
