Current MINI Hatch production ends

MINI has built over 1 million examples of the second-generation MINI Hatch, but now the very last one has left the production line in Oxford. It will soon be replaced by an all-new – and much larger – third-generation MINI Hatch, which was launched to the press and public at the Oxford Plant on 18 November 2013. BMW readying first M Performance model for U.S.

BMW will introduce the first in what will become a line of M Performance models to North America in early 2014 with the M235i coupe. It will take the place of the 1-series M coupe which recently ceased production after a run of more than 6,000 units, some 600 of which were sold in the United States. BMW is renaming the coupe and convertible versions of the 1-series as the 2-series for the vehicle's second generation.

Jeep to use Fiat platforms starting in '13

Jeep's small SUVs will use Fiat-supplied platforms starting in 2013, Jeep brand CEO Mike Manley said on Wednesday. Jeep will eliminate the Patriot and Compass crossovers after 2012 and replace them with a single C-segment vehicle whose platform will originate with Fiat Group. Jeep also will introduce a B-segment small SUV in 2013 with a Fiat platform.
