Clearing out the garage. This Sampson Sport Touring back rest and luggage rack set provides maximum passenger comfort and maximum flexibility for tie down of cargo. Luggage rack is 22" x 11".

Also included is a second backrest post that has a slightly steeper rake/angle, which some passengers may find more comfortable. This swaps out via four bolts to the luggage rack and two bolts to secure the pad. The last picture is a side view that shows how the angle of the second post compares to the first.

The rack Includes Hyperlight LED brake lights (8x2 diodes) as an aftermarket add-on. The left-side light has several diodes broken (see photo) and the lights may or may not work--I haven't hooked them up to test. I thought about removing them for this sale but decided to leave them on in case the buyer finds them useful. They can easily be removed or replaced if they don't meet your needs.

Bolts required to secure this item to your motorcycle are not included, although they are a fairly standard size that can be found at most Honda dealers and many general screw/nuts/bolts supply stores.

Original retail price of the back rest and luggage rack was over $360.

Just to be clear: the motorcycle in the photos is NOT part of this auction...

Gordon Murray designs electric sports car – Teewave AR.1

Thu, 22 Sep 2011

Toray Industries Teewave AR.1 by GMD If you jumped straight from the headline to here, you may be flushed with excitement at the prospect that Gordon Murray – the man responsible for the McLaren F1 – has penned an electric roadster – the Toray Teewave AR.1. Admittedly the name doesn’t roll of the tongue quite like ‘McLaren F1′, but we can forgive the uninspiring name as the Teewave AR.1 is bound to be impressive. Isn’t it?

Mon, 06 Aug 2012

New car registrations in the UK have risen for the fifth month running, with a total of 143,884 new cars registered in July 2012. The UK is continuing to buck the European trend with new car registrations up by 9.3 per cent in July (2102) to 143,884 according to new figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). That figure is the largest sales volume of 2012 and is the fifth month in a row that new car registrations have risen, despite economic woes and the Eurozone crisis, and brings registrations in 2012 to 1,201,564 so far, leading the SMMT to increase their prediction for 2012 sales upwards to 1.97 million.
