It’s...the celebrity-spotting reader-blogger No report from one of the world’s great motorshows would be complete without a wide-eyed fanboy list of all the famous people he saw there. Georg really is larger than life. We didn’t get a chance to say hi, but Robby noted that being part of the international brotherhood of nicotine addicts wasn’t a bad thing if you’re in such illustrious company. Batty, we did not accomplish your dare, for all the reasons I mentioned in the forum and more. 2) Tim Pollard – ok, I’m cheating because we were working for him, but come on, the guy does great work for the website.
Cost of garage labour falling
Mon, 23 Sep 2013THE AVERAGE labour rate at both franchised and non-franchised garages has fallen compared to 2012, according to new figures. An annual survey of 12,000 cases conducted on behalf of Warranty Direct has concluded that the average labour rate in 2013 is £74.70, a fall of 9.84% from £82.86 in 2012. Less encouraging is the overall trend of rising labour rates, with the average having increased by 33% over the last ten years.
U.S. government to buy 101 Chevrolet Volts, 10 Nissan Leafs and 5 Think City EVs
Wed, 25 May 2011The Obama administration is buying the first 116 plug-in electric vehicles for the federal fleet -- 101 Chevrolet Volts, 10 Nissan Leafs and five Think City EVs, the U.S. General Services Administration said today. The purchases are part of a pilot project aimed at advancing President Obama's goal of having 1 million EVs on the road by 2015.
