Small Block Chevy 400 Competition Short Block, 9.5:1 Pistons

Here at CNC-Motorsports we strive for customer satisfaction on every engine. These engines all start with quality "New" Dart blocks. The Dart blocks start by going to our Peterson Align hone where every block main bore is machined within our spec. From there we go to our Rottler F68A 4th axis CNC machine, where we start by truing the bell housing surface face. We then blue-print parallel square deck, bore to blue-print, and blue-print stroker clearance (when required). Once the blocks are completed at the Rottler CNC machine they go to our Sunnen CK-10 cylinder hone, where the block is finish honed with torque plates to our specification and checked with our profilometer to ensure maximum ring seal. In addition we hone the lifter bores to the correct spec. We require our customers to purchase lifters from us or send us there’s for proper lifter bore clearance. All of our rotating assemblies are balanced on our Hines Dominator custom built balancing machine. Each component is balanced within 2 grams and the crankshaft is dynamic balanced to within ½ gram. Each engine assembly is blue-printed to our race winning specifications ensuring the same quality and reliability on every engine. We build short blocks and race engines the way they are supposed to be with "Out" cutting corners just to save up front cost's, only to cost you more later. "Dollar for Dollar" you will not find a better built engine anywhere. Customer satisfaction is our first priority.

Volkswagen, Dogs & Star Wars – a Super Bowl Ad

VW gets the dogs out for its Super Bowl Advert Volkswagen is planning a new Star Wars themed advert for the Super Bowl, this time with dogs singing the Star Wars theme. It may not be a big deal for us on this side of the Pond, but adverts in the Super Bowl are a very big deal for car makers in the US. Last year Volkswagen managed a viral hit with their ‘Little Vader’ take on Star Wars for the Super Bowl Ad, so they’re back this year with a variation on the same theme, with a choir of dogs barking out the Star Wars Theme.

Honda recalls 310,773 Pilots for seatbelt issue

Honda is recalling 310,773 copies of the Pilot SUV to fix a problem that could make the driver's or passenger's seatbelts unreliable in a crash. Honda says a manufacturing error with the belts could mean that stitching on some of the models is incomplete where the lap section is connected to the outer anchor, which could cause the belt components to disconnect in an accident. The recall affects 2009- to 2011-model-year Pilots.

The V8 diesel is not exactly the most common engine on offer, but it is an engine Ford makes and is probably best known as the engine of choice in the new Range Rover and the new 2014 Range Rover Sport (finally). We’ve also been championing its credentials as a perfect V8 diesel engine for Jaguar’s XJ, but Jaguar don’t seem to be listening. But it’s not just Land Rover who’ve got a big V8 diesel in an appealing road car, Porsche also has the new Cayenne diesel S complete with a V8 diesel with oodles of torque, the promise of great headline economy when you’re poodling and a 0-62mph in just 5.7 seconds.
