The all new 3V 208cc cylinder heads are the latest addition to the 3V range of Cleveland cylinder heads. Developed by Dave Storlien for the 2004 Engine Masters Competition, the 208cc runner was originally designed to produce the best average torque and horsepower on a 410ci engine up to 6500rpm.

Subsequent testing has shown them to be the best choice for STD stroke motors looking to make between 500 – 550hp, as well as strokers making between 550hp, to high 500’s with solid camshafts. The 208cc Cleveland Heads will provide the best spread of torque and horsepower at these power levels. Mild solid roller and hydraulic roller cams in these combinations will result in increased outputs again.

Mon, 20 Jul 2009

By Alex Michaelides First Official Pictures 20 July 2009 11:15 Peugeot has come over all green with this, the new Peugeot 207 Economique. The 207 Economique boasts emissions of just 99g/km of CO2 and a frugal 74.3mpg.So, how did Peugeot make the 207 Economique cleaner?Peugeot uses its trusty 1.6 HDI oil burner, but in a detuned guise.

VW Touareg BlueMotion hits the UK

Fri, 12 Jun 2009

Volkswagen has announced the VW Touareg BlueMotion for the UK Offering improved economy and lower emissions, the Touareg BlueMotion manages to drop in to a lower Co2 band by emitting 219g/km (a reduction from 244g/km on the V6 TDi) and it delivers 34mpg as opposed to 30.4mpg on the V7 TDi. These improvements have been achieved by the usual ECU tweaking, low rolling resistance tyres, some aerodynamic tweaks and a lower ride height (exactly the same sort of stuff that Ford has done on the EConetic range). And the penalty for the lower emissions and better economy is very slight, with the Touareg BlueMotion still managing the 0-60mph in 8.5 seconds and a top speed of  126mph.

Barra said GM has narrowed its future development emphasis in an effort to defend its leadership position attained with the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid. GM will unveil an electric Spark minicar in late November at the Los Angeles auto show.
