Procomp Electronics 9900 series billet distributors are designed for the enthusiast that is serious about performance and expects the most bang for their buck. Each distirbutor is precision CNC machined from billet 6061 T6 aluminum to exacting tolerances. The "spark plug" type terminals offer scure wire attachment. Under the brass terminals of the cap and rotor is an extremely accurate GM HEI style magnetic pick up that never requires adjustment. It also features an easy to adjust mechanical advance mechanism. The heavy duty 1/2" steel shaft is guided with a long sintered bushing as well as a sealed ball bearing at the top to precisely locate the reluctor. With the right coil and ignition box this distributor will yield stable timing and spark delivery at any RPM.

Ignition Box:
The entire line of Procomp Electronics ignitions are the most popular aftermarket ignition in ht world due to our race-proven performance on and off the track. The increased voltage that the Procomp outs acriss te plug gap will improve performance drastically. Procomp Motorsport ignition boxes use capacitive discharge (CD) technology to produce a very high primary voltage. This high voltage is always present regardless if you're at idle or racing down a straight away at high RPM.  This box features a TWO STAGE rev limiter.

Spark Energy:                                     110-115 mj per spark.
Primary Voltage:                                   460-490 Volts
Secondary Voltage:                                 45,000 Volts
Spark Series:             20 Degrees Crankshaft Rotation
RPM Range:       15,000RPM Capable(w/ 14.4 Volts)
Voltage Required:          12-15 Volts Negative Ground
Current Draw:                        1 Amp per 1000RPM

Coil:
The Procomp Electronics PC91 coil produces up to 70% more spark energy than stock coils with outstanding reliability. This unit is recommended for street, strip circle track and drag racing. Internally the coil also has a large gauge wire windings for maximum spark current and voltage with better heat dissipation at high RPM. High voltage arcing is minimized through screw on connectors and a high tension tower.

Breaking: 2015 Corvette Z06 drops its top for New York auto show

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

This is the new 2015 Corvette Z06 convertible, the Stingray for owners who want it all, shown a little earlier than we expected. Buyers get the Z06 engine, racing suspension and brakes, and now, for the first time since 1963, they can get that package with a convertible top, as we'll see at the New York auto show. “Until recently it was not possible to create a lightweight, open-roof structure strong enough to cope with the braking, cornering and acceleration of Corvette's top performance models,” said Corvette chief engineer Tadge Juechter.
