New York auto show: 2011 Hyundai Sonata hybrid

Hyundai has released a teaser shot of the hybrid Sonata, and it appears to differ a bit from the gasoline-powered version with a different grille and reconfigured fascia. Just 10bhp more than the regular V8 doesn’t sound a lot, but there is more than just a smidge of extra power to the V8 Vantage S. The extra 10bhp the V8 Vantage S gets is tweaked from the regular Aston Martin V8 Vantage, but there’s also an extra 15lb/ft of torque.

Thu, 17 Nov 2011Subaru BRZ Concept STI at the Los Angeles Auto Show The Subaru BRZ (and for that matter its sibling, the Toyota FT-86) has been floating around in one form or another as a concept for years. And at Los Angeles we get treated to yet another ‘Concept’ version – the Subaru BRZ Concept STI. Which does seem a bit odd; after all, the production version of the BRZ is scheduled to arrive later this month at the Tokyo Motor Show, and we know from the teaser shots Subaru sent us of the production BRZ that there are changes from this Concept.
