Production 2013 Lincoln MKZ seen in the wild
Mon, 18 Jun 2012This 2013 Lincoln MKZ looks to be production ready, save for a few absent badges on the tail. Why it is perched on a flatbed rather than moving under its own power is unknown. The production MKZ debuted at the New York auto show in April and will be available for sale later this year.
Happy Anniversary: delivery-mileage Lamborghini Countach for sale
Tue, 21 Jan 2014Just when you think you've seen it all, along comes a delivery mileage Lamborghini Countach that has been sat 'resting' in a storage facility since April 1990. And although it would be rather amusing to report the supercar had been discovered during an episode of Storage Wars, the reality is a little different. The Countach is the car that graced the bedroom walls of countless young boys in the 1980s, condemning the Ferrari poster to the waste paper bin.
Land Rover Defender to be built in Sri Lanka
Tue, 09 Apr 2013The Land Rover Defender is to be built outside the UK in a new plant in Sri Lanka to produce Defenders for the region. Land Rover are assisting and training staff at a new assembly plant in Hambantota, Sri Lanka, run by Sathosa Motors PLC in a 50-50 deal with Land Rover distributors SML Frontier Automotive, with $1 million being invested to get the project up and running this year. It seems clear from the level of investment that this is simply an assembly operation using CKD kits from the UK for the Defender, but Sri Lank’s Daily News is reporting that there are plans to invest $500 million in the project.
