E-Type Jag is the nation’s favourite sports car
Wed, 06 Jul 2011E-Type Jaguar - the Nation's Favourite Sports Car You may remember we reported a few weeks back that the organisers of the Silverstone Classic were running a poll to find out the nation’s favourite sports car of all time. The ‘nominees’ left a little to be desired, with some of the greatest sports cars ever built conspicuously missing from the list. Mazda Shinari concept car (2010) first official pictures
Wed, 01 Sep 2010Mazda's new design direction is embodied in the new Shinari concept car. Modeled to announce to the world the new styling language of future Mazda road cars, the Shinari ushers in a new look to replace the somewhat tortured Nagare mantra that has fizzled into a damp squib on the sides of the latest Mazda 5 midi-MPV. The Shinari won't be shown at the 2010 Paris motor show (apparently it's being held back for a 2011 Geneva debut), yet this is a landmark concept for Mazda design, under the new leadership of chief design Ikuo Maeda.
Honda Civic Type R Mugen 2.2 revealed. But why bother?
Fri, 09 Sep 2011Honda Civic Type R Mugen 2.2 - will it sell? When Honda finally confirmed the Civic Type R Mugen for very limited production – just 20 were being made – back in 2009, we did comment that the price - £38,599 and a £12k premium over the stock Type R – did not auger well for sales. In the event Honda has only managed to shift sixteen of the original Type R Mugen, but despite that sales failure they have decided to punt out a more powerful – and inevitably more expensive – version of the Type R with a bored and stroke 2.2 litre version of the original 2.0 litre in the Type R – the Honda Civic Type R Mugen 2.2.
