Land Rover LR4s successfully cross America off-road
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Land Rover Expedition America has just wrapped up its month-long trek across the United States, almost all of it off-road. A team of three Land Rover LR4s covered 4,000-plus miles from Asheville, N.C., to the Oregon coast, following an off-road route called the Trans-America Trail charted by motorcycle legend Sam Correro in the 1990s. No other production car is known to have ever completed this journey.

Gone are the days of reliance upon new metal to draw in the crowds - the London event looks set to challenge theme parks as much as dealerships.The British International Motor Show will be held at the Excel arena in London's Docklands from 23 July to 3 August 2008 and is set to attract key launches including the new Vauxhall Insignia, Lotus Eagle and, possibly, the Seat Ibiza three-door.But there will be a barrage of non-metal attractions, including:• Drift school where punters can learn how to oversteer• Heritage enclosure with classic cars• Watersports events with formation water-skiing• Off-roading area sponsored by Land Rover• Children's area including an under-age driving school sponsored by PeugeotA full interactive version of the map is available at www.britishmotorshow.co.ukAdult tickets for the show start at £10, children’s tickets from £6.CAR Online will report live from this summer's bi-annual British show. Tue, 26 Jan 2010Mazda has revealed the Mazda6 facelift for 2010 which will debut at Geneva in March Yesterday Mazda revealed the 2010 version of the Mazda6 in Japan, and we were just about to report on that when we had an email drop in to our inbox with details of the European version of the Mazda6 which will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. Maybe the Japanese car companies are finally working out that the Interweb reports Japanese launches when they happen so there’s no point procrastinating on details for the rest of the world? But whatever the reason we have official details of what the Mazda6 has in store for the UK this year. But don’t get too excited; it’s much more a facelift than a new car.
