Scosche MZ04SR 2000-4 Mercedes C Class 10-way Connector installation interface

This MZ04SR allows you to replace your factory OEM stereo while retaining factory steering wheel controls, if the vehicle is equipped. This interface will maintain the data-controlled +12V accessory output as well as provide navigation outputs for reverse, vehicle speed pulse and parking brake.

Why do I need to spend extra on an interface?
An interface is a small computer system that allows your new head unit to properly communicate with your vehicle’s computer system. If you install a new aftermarket radio without using an interface, you will lose many of the standard security features of the vehicle. This is due to vehicle manufactures running part of the vehicle’s computer system through the OEM radio. Functions lost include, but not limited to, are warning chimes (keys left in ignition, lights left on, low fuel etc.), security and alarm systems, +12V accessory and more. If the +12V accessory is lost, your radio will not turn on/off automatically and will be a manual process.

Mercedes A Class production outsourced

Tue, 24 Jul 2012

Mercedes is outsourcing some new A Class production as orders continue to flood in for Mercedes’ new compact car. Last week we had the news that Mercedes will be building new A Class compact SUV – the Mercedes GLA – at the Mercedes plant in Rastatt as production of the A Class kicked off. But despite the new A Class being built at both Rastatt and the Mercedes plant in Kecskemet, Hungary, Mercedes don’t have enough capacity for the volume of order flooding in for the new A Class – over 40,000 since it went on sale just over a month ago.

BMW M Car sales keep growing

Sun, 14 Dec 2008

Now here’s a conundrum. Why do sales of BMW M Cars keep growing, when every other car maker (bar a couple of exceptions like Audi) are seeing sales decimated? Is it because the cars are so good?
