Why do I need to spend extra on an interface?
An interface is a small computer system that allows your new head unit to properly communicate with your vehicle’s computer system. If you install a new aftermarket radio without using an interface, you will lose many of the standard security features of the vehicle. This is due to vehicle manufactures running part of the vehicle’s computer system through the OEM radio. Functions lost include, but not limited to, are warning chimes (keys left in ignition, lights left on, low fuel etc.), security and alarm systems, +12V accessory and more. If the +12V accessory is lost, your radio will not turn on/off automatically. This will now be a manual process.

Daihatsu Copen revised

Wed, 14 Mar 2007

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 14 March 2007 09:08 The Daihatsu Copen - a Suzuki Cappuccino for the 21st century? Britain's cheapest roadster has been given a massive engine boost, after Daihatsu chopped the 660cc engine in the Copen for a 1.3 twin-cam. The Copen was conceived under Japan's K-car rules for short micro cars with engines under 0.7 litres, and its right-hand drive status meant it was imported to the UK market.

Toyota Matrix likely to be dropped

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

Toyota will roll out Tundra and Corolla redesigns next year and will revise the RAV4, Avalon and Highlander, but there are some things the division probably won't do. For example, there is a strong possibility that the Corolla-based Matrix hatchback will not be renewed for the United States when the Corolla redesign comes next fall. "If we don't have the Matrix, it won't be the end of the world," said Toyota Division boss Bill Fay at the press introduction of the RAV4 in Phoenix.

Aston Martin unveils 2009 Le Mans challenger: first official pictures

Tue, 27 Jan 2009

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 27 January 2009 09:50 Those plucky Brits. This is Aston Martin’s new petrol-powered LMP1 Le Mans contender, designed to take on the diesel might of Peugeot's 908 and Audi's new R15. Aston is aiming for the overall win at the legendary 24-hour race on 13-14 June 2009, 50 years after Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori drove a DBR1 to victory. Aston’s new LMP1 car is based on the Lola-developed 2008 Charouz Racing Aston Martin that came ninth at Le Mans in 2008. For '09 the car has been further tweaked with help from Lola, Michelin, Koni and BBS.
