  • ITEM: Here we have a Scott-Atwater "owner's kit" for sale.  This came with the purchase of a new Scott-Atwater outboard 1956.  It has an owner's manual and a parts catalog, and they are to slip into a protective envelope.  The manual and parts catalog are in pretty good shape, but the protective envelope is worn and ripped.  This would be a neat collectors item!  You could put it on the coffee table or display them in a shadow box!  Fun for any collector!

GM disbands unit that creates high-performance vehicles

General Motors, focusing on mainstream products in a battle to survive, has scrapped a unit that produced high-performance vehicles. GM on Wednesday disbanded High Performance Vehicle Operations, which is based at the company's suburban Detroit technical center, and redeployed its engineers, spokesman Vince Muniga said. "All high-performance projects are on indefinite hold," Muniga said.

Cadillac CTS gets limited-edition colors ahead of redesign

Cadillac added a pair of limited-edition CTS vehicles to its lineup on Friday. Silver Frost and Stealth blue will join the car’s color palette. Only 100 Silver Frost Cadillac CTS-V coupe will be produced with the low-gloss matte finish while the new blue will appear on all body styles.

Surprise Euro NCAP results released

THE BEST cars in class for safety have been announced by Euro NCAP - and there are some surprise results. Although not on sale in the UK yet, the Chinese-built Qoros 3 Sedan was the safest car tested by Euro NCAP all year. It is also the first car built in China to ever gain a five-star score in the tough crash tests of Euro NCAP.
