SE106 Alpha Generation 1 Replacement Sterndrive Outdrive 1.94 Ratio

This auction is for 1 complete aftermarket replacement outdrive for Mercruiser Alpha Gen 1 units. These will replace pre alpha and alpha units from 1973-1990. These units are not compatible with older units with a mechanical reverse lock mechanism.
These drive units feature a 3 year fault free warranty from the manufacturer. If anything other than theft occurs within three years you are covered- 3 full years! No oil, no problem. Hit a rock, no problem. Its covered!
These units are 100% OEM compatible. If you need a part after the warranty period you can use any OEM or aftermarket part for service and repair.
If you do not have your old drive or do not want to separate it to reuse the mating hardware you will also need an installation kit which is sold separately for 55.00. We do also offer anode kits for these units as well if needed
Upon delivery you will have to mate the two halves upper & lower together. We do include online instructions with your purchase. You will only need gear oil, anode(s) and your prop and prop hardware if you also purchase the installation kit. If you do not purchase the installation kit you will need your nuts and washers as well as the intermediate shift shaft from your old unit as well.
The unit in this auction is for a 1.94 - 1.98 (these are the same no change in performance the 1.94 ratio is the new replacement for the 1.98 ratio) This unit is for most the 120 & 140 horsepower models that use the standard length yoke shaft. This auction has the standard length 9 9/16" input yoke shaft. We also have the short yoke shaft listed on our other listings. The short yoke is used on early model units prior to approximately 1984
