Drivers undecided over 20mph zones

DRIVERS are against the idea of a blanket 20mph speed limit on urban roads but are open to their targeted use, according to research published today by road safety charity, Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM). Half of drivers from the UK are against a blanket 20mph speed limit with less than a third willing to embrace the idea and a fifth undecided. Male drivers are more likely to be against the idea than female.

TWO FERRARI Dino cars have sold for a combined £383,000 during the same auction, despite one of them needing significant restoration. Ford slows rate of cash burn in posting $1.4 billion net loss

Ford Motor Co., the only U.S. automaker operating without federal bailout loans, burned through $3.7 billion in cash during the first quarter in posting its fourth straight quarterly loss. Ford slowed the burn rate from the fourth quarter of 2008, when cash declined by $5.5 billion.
