Vettel takes pole in Brazilian Grand Prix at rain-soaked Interlagos
Sat, 23 Nov 2013Vettel takes pole in Brazilian Grand Prix at rain-soaked Interlagos The weather may have been horrible – with rain lashing the Interlagos track – and Sebastian Vettel may already have taken the F1 driver’s title for 2013, but the weather and the already won title made no difference. Sebastian Vettel has taken pole position for Red Bull at the Brazilian Grand Prix. The heavy rain at Interlagos managed to delay Q3, but Vettel was as impressive as he has been for the rest of the season to continue the run of Red Bull poles, followed by Nico Rosberg in the Mercedes in second and Fernando Alonso took third place, his equal best starting place this season.
Bentley Continental GT3 Road Car? Probably not
Fri, 05 Oct 2012Despite reports to the contrary, it seems highly unlikely that Bentley will produce a road going version of the Continental GT3. The Continental GT3 is just a concept at the moment - although it will become a proper track car – but it has already had Autocar gazing in to its crystal ball to suggest that Bentley will be building a GT3 for the road, with a 700bhp W12 and 4WD, and will sell it in limited numbers. But that doesn’t add up to us.
Peugeot 207 Economique – the 99g car
Mon, 20 Jul 2009The Peugeot 207 Economique - guess what its CO2 is?! As you may well have guessed, this is another car maker rolling out the usual low rolling resistance, lowered suspension, gear-change-light, steel wheels version of their regular runaround to create a car that magically dips below 100g/km CO2. Of course it’s completely disingenuous, because unless you drive like you’re carrying the last live eggs of the Dodo all the time you won’t get the CO2 levels quoted, and nor will you get the headline economy.
