McLaren 650s Configurator goes live
Sun, 09 Mar 2014The McLaren 650S Configurator The new McLaren 650S arrived at the Geneva Motor Show last week – and as the 650S Spider too – and looks, and performs, far better than the 12C. That seems to point to the McLaren 12C being allowed to whither on the vine as McLaren’s customers opt for the new 650S instead of the 12C – even with a price difference heading towards £20k – although officially you can still buy a 12C (although we hear 12C production has been halted). We hear McLaren have already built a number of 650S models and now they’ve even got the 650S Configurator up on their website so customers – and dreamers – can spec up their new 650S.
MG6 Diesel launches – price from £16,995
Fri, 21 Dec 2012The much needed diesel version of the MG6 has launched, offering a diesel engine in the new MG for the first time. Priced from £16,995. The now Chinese-owned MG hasn’t had overwhelming success with its MG6 so far, but much of that can be put down to the lack of a diesel-engined offering in a marketplace that has become diesel obsessed.
Brit-Based Supercar Maker Unveils Third New Model
Fri, 28 Feb 2014THIRD time’s going to be the charm for McLaren, as the Woking-based firm has unveiled its third supercar ahead of a public debut at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show. Hot on the heels of the P1 hypercar, the new 650S slots between the firm’s flagship motor and already established 12C. With bold claims of race car-like performance while retaining the luxury and refinement of its premium supercar rivals, McLaren has revealed that the 650S can sprint to 124mph from rest – the industry standard 200kph – in a blistering 8.4 seconds.
