This auction is for a complete set of camshaft tappets and shims that were removed from a 1978 Kawasaki KZ1000 I am parting out. These are used in all '73-'84 Kawasaki Z1/KZ 900/1000/1100 bikes, as well as most all Yamaha engines like the XS1100. Four shims have good readable size markings, and the other four do not. The marked shims are as follows: 235 (1ea.), 245 (1ea.), 255 (1ea.), 260 (1ea.). The four with worn markings measure and reference to the following: 245 (1ea.), 250 (1ea.), and 270 (1ea.) 210 (1ea.)(measures .080" with dial calipers). Nice to have as spares, and are fairly pricey from parts suppliers and dealers. These will fit all Z1/KZ/GPZ 900/1000/1100 bikes, '73-'84, and most 2-valve Yamaha engines. This auction is for a set of seven (7) valve shims or valve adjusting pads and a Shim Insertion / Removal Tool. These were spares from my Yamaha XS-1100. I was told that they also fit air cooled engines 1973 ~ 1984 Kawasaki Z1 Z900 Z1000 Z1100 Z1300 Z-1 Z-900 Z-1000 Z-1100 Z-1300 Z1100 B & D models, KL600, KL650 and KLX650 Will also fit Yamaha XJ900 & XS1100 & XS-750 and most two valve engines, <b>but please check your service manual just to be absolutely sure they fit. </b>. . I am told they are 29 mm shim pads. All shims have good readable size markings and were very hardly used if at all. (I seem to remember paying about $7.00 each for them.) Complete Craftsman valve grinder and lapping kit. It is for laping valves in cylinder head. For Automotive and small engine head rebuilding. Kit No. 947042. New in package. Never used, still factory sealed and is complete, but the packaging is shot. Looks to be in good useable condition.

Cars like the Chevrolet Trax (pictured) will disappear from the UK in 2015 GM has seemed to be fighting a battle with itself in the UK and Europe by marketing a broadly similar range of cars under the Vauxhall and Opel badges in the UK and Opel and Chevrolet in Europe. But unlike the VW Group, which manages to offer very similar cars from VW, SEAT and Skoda and create a different customer base, GM seems to have failed to make the marketplace work with Opel and Vauxhall competing with Chevrolet. So Chevrolet are on their way out in Europe.

It looks like the Peugeot 308 R (pictured) is heading for production With the Peugeot RCZ R managing to go from range-topping performance concept to production, it seemed likely Peugeot was aiming at producing a new range of performance cars. And it seems the next could be the Peugeot 308 R. Arriving at the Frankfurt Motor Show as a concept, the 308 R comes with a strange two-tone paint job (meant to evoke the Peugeot Onyx Concept), but with far more to offer than just a paint job that makes it look a different car at the back than the front.

We’re not entirely sure how the Nissan Juke-R – the love child of a Juke and a GT-R – ended up in Dubai pitted in a race against a selection of the world’s best supercars – but it did.
