Wed, 18 Dec 2013The Lamborghini Huracan tease rolls on relentlessly The arrival of the a new supercar from Lamborghini – whose core models don’t arrive much more than once a decade – should be a real event. Unfortunately, Lamborghini’s silly tease for the Gallardo’s replacement is an irritating and frustrating bit of nonsense. It started well enough with an oddly named website – The Hexagon Project – showing a simple starter button which, when pressed, played the sound of the new Lambo’s V10 roaring - a good start.
Opel Ampera preview
Tue, 27 Jan 2009Opel has released a teaser sketch of its new five-door extended-range electric car ahead of its public debut at the Geneva Auto Show in March. Based on the Voltec powertrain and chassis architecture of Chevrolet's Volt, the Ampera promises to surpass that car in terms of style by some margin. The body appears to be nearly identical between the A- and C-pillars, but the deformed horseshoe-shaped headlamp design and two-bar grille come straight from the 2007 Flextreme concept, as do the car's tree-branch alloy wheels.
Show Review: '100% Design' Product and Furniture Design exhibition
Tue, 16 Nov 2004Now into its tenth year, '100% Design' is a showcase for emerging talent from Britain in the fields of product and furniture design. Held in Earl's Court, London, it also attracts European and Asian companies keen on marking their presence. Whilst the show has come to attract larger corporations too, these companies still often give individual credit to their designers, naming them with each piece displayed.
