After two days of CES electronic overload, we snuck off to Ballys down the strip and had a preview peek at the Bonhams motorcycle auction. No one was guarding the door so we just opened it up and walked right in like we owned the place. As the 25th anniversary of the M3 draws near, BMW is starting the celebration a bit early with a limited-edition M3 coupe for U.S. buyers. And BMW means limited--it will sell only 30 copies of the car, painted in a color called Frozen Gray.

It’s got more power, trick tyres, adjustable dampers, a titanium exhaust, and with that armoury Renault is firing a warning shot across the bows of forthcoming mega hatches like the Honda Civic Type R and Vauxhall Astra VXR Extreme. Renaultsport has worked on the regular Megane 265's turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine to find an extra 10bhp, so peak power is now 271bhp (or 275PS, hence the name) delivered at 5500rpm.
