I have been an electronics tech since 1980, this deck will plug and play when you receive it. It has been serviced and gone through to make sure it works, and tested. If it didn't work, I would not list it, as I don't list defective items on Ebay. If they don't work they are parted out, given away, or thrown away. Tape head cleaned, adjusted, capstan cleaned/resurfaced. PANASONIC MODEL CX-888SU STEREO 8-TRACK DECK, WITH HOME PLAYING DOCK THE DOCK ENABLES THIS CAR DECK TO BE REMOVED FROM THE CAR, AND PLAYED IN THE HOME. THE DOCK HAS A POWER SUPPLY INSIDE AND CONNECTIONS FOR SPEAKERS ON THE BACK, AND PLUGS INTO A HOME WALL POWER OUTLET. THESE DECKS WERE POPULAR IN THAT THE TAPE DECK COULD BE REMOVED FROM THE CAR TO PREVENT THEFT, AND ENABLED USING THE SAME DECK FOR HOME OR AUTO USE. Thu, 06 Aug 2009Volkswagen has released prices and specs for the UK of the new VW Polo The new Polo is a good looking car, taking design cues from VW’s successful Scirroco.It is bigger than the outgoing model but lighter, and has managed some good improvements in economy and emissions. Which is all good news. So there should be fair few takers for the new Polo, which arrives in UK showrooms in October, with orders starting from now.

Thu, 28 Jul 2011Ireland prepare to ban smoking in cars Maybe the erosion of individual liberties should be secondary to safety (although we would argue the contrary), but surely banning smoking in cars – as Ireland appear close to doing – is a very silly route to go? Of course, since anything that can be remotely construed as a company car is already somewhere you’re not allowed to smoke, banning smoking in private cars is, perhaps, a logical step. The argument is that smoking in cars is detrimental to the health of children who are passengers.
Kia Soul'ster opens up for Detroit auto show

Taking a page from the roadster playbook, the Soul'ster concept drops a set of doors from the Soul SUV, which goes on sale this spring, shortens the windshield and adds a two-piece removable top. Roll bars offer occupants additional protection not normally found on convertibles, and house a slider track cargo system.
