If your car is 12V and you want to use your original 6V semaphores, connect this resistor in the circuit.  Your semaphores will then see exactly the same voltage as if your car was still 6V.  I've taken care of all the calculations with Ohm's law so you don't have to.

Here's what you get:
Aluminum heatsink
High power resistor
Two small mounting screws
Two 16AWG leads

The leads are soldered to the resistor's terminals, then covered in heatshrink.  The ends of the leads are tinned so they are ready to clamp into your oval or split's wiring connectors or fuse panel.  The resistor is bolted to the Al plate with thermal conducting paste between them.  All of this assembly is done for you.

I have designed this assembly to be an easy installation.  All you do is mount it at the top of the cowl support bracket by the speedo with an M6x20 screw, then connect the wires in the circuit before the semaphore switch.
How to install:
Locate the black wire with the green and white stripe on the forward side of your 4 fuse box by the speedo.  Remove this wire and connect one of the leads from this resistor in series with that wire using a single set screw junction terminal.  Then connect the other lead from this resistor into the fuse box where you removed the black wire with the green and white stripe.  If you need help, send me a message.

See my other auction to upgrade your semaphores to flashing semaphores without any modifications!

VW announces seven-passenger CUV at Detroit auto show

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

Last year at the Detroit Auto Show, VW showed the CrossBlue concept. Built on VW's new MQB modular architecture, the CrossBlue was designed to both showcase the versatility of MQB (it also underpins the upcoming Golf, the new Audi A3, as well as SEAT and Skoda models) and illustrate that VW was serious about the seven-passenger market in the United States. Prior to the Frankfurt motor show, we took the CrossBlue for a spin.

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 13 June 2014 00:01 Want to know what it feels like to hit 1000mph? This is our first look inside the cockpit of the Bloodhound SSC, the new supersonic rocket challenger looking to set a new world land speed record. The Bloodhound SSC's cabin is cramped and looks more like the cockpit of a Eurofighter jet than a car.

Russian Grand Prix: Hamilton on pole for Mercedes

Sat, 11 Oct 2014

Hamilton (r) has pole in Russia followed by Rosberg (l) and Bottas (c) Amid tight security thanks to Russia’s ongoing spat in Ukraine, and a muted appetite for exuberance after Jules Bianchi’s dreadful crash with a JCB on track last weekend, the rest of the F1 circus seems to be on normal duty, with Hamilton’s Mercedes taking the front row and Hamilton dominating proceedings in qualifying to secure another pole position. But it wasn’t necessarily going all Mercedes’ way, with Bottas stringing together a very quick lap in the dying moments of final qualifying that looked like it could propel him in front of the Mercedes duo, until he lost traction at the end of his flying lap and had to settle for third spot in tomorrow’s race. Joining Bottas on row two is Jenson Button and his McLaren after a strong qualifying, and Daniil Kvyat – at his first home Grand Prix – managed to secure a very impressive fifth spot for Toro Rosso. Kevin Magnussen in the second McLaren would have been on row three in sixth spot but gets a five place penalty for a gearbox change.
