Here are a set of two cylinder heads off of a small block GM Chevrolet 35 engine. There are a lot of different numbers and letters from each head. One says GM 5, 12, J 290, and 462624, the other says GM 54, 8998993, Q243, and 15. Please make sure these will fit your engine before buying. They were pressure tested by NAPA and are good that way. They are in nice shape, not all covered with rust like many I see. They may need valve work (or they may not). They are a bit oily, and may need some more cleaning up. Please check the pictures, and thank you for looking. I will need to ship in two separate, heavy boxes, if postage is to much I will return the difference. Free local pickup, I live about one hour east of the Twin Cities, MN. I also usually travel to the Twin Cities a couple of times a month, and could deliver to that area.

Designer insights: highlights of Auto Design Prague 2014

Tue, 30 Sep 2014

Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, might not seem the most obvious choice for an automotive design conference. But when one considers the country's history of innovation in the arts and architecture, its long-lived automotive marques like Tatra and Skoda, and Prague's central location in Europe, it makes perfect sense. Conference speakers included the program design director for Citroën DS, Ivo Groen; Volvo vice president of design Thomas Ingenlath; Jaguar advanced design director, Julian Thomson; Gert Hildebrand, head of design for Qoros; and Johann Lemercier, program manager at Ferrari design.

Saab owners Spyker NV to become Swedish Automobile NV

Mon, 23 May 2011

Is the rain coming to an end at Saab? In the seemingly never-ending saga of Spyker and Saab it does now seem likely that the deal we reported last week with Chinese distributors Pang Da is going to pan out. The messy-looking deal with Pang Da has seen the beleaguered Dutch car maker receiving €30 million already from the cash-rich Chinese, which it’s using to pay-off its suppliers in an attempt to get production lines rolling again in Trollhattan.

Want wagons? Kill the crossover

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

Cadillac boss Bob Ferguson recently told Automotive News that GM is considering an ATS wagon. Autoweek contributor and GM big shot Mark Reuss is on record speaking in favor of wagons. And whether they know it or not, American car buyers need a station wagon, but not a wagon built to satisfy station-wagon fetishists.
