Fri, 24 Aug 2007The EX35 is a slightly smaller and more mainstream SUV than its FX bigger brother from which it takes its core 'coupe SUV' theme. Despite the coupe design references, the vehicle is similar proportionally to the Lexus RX300 and BMW X3 which it will compete with in the US - and also in Europe when the Infiniti brand debuts next year. Little different to the Infiniti EX concept shown in New York, the EX35 uses the core Infiniti graphic design signatures and soft form language but introduces a new flowing side feature line not seen on the Infiniti G37 Coupe launched a few months ago. Interesting technical innovations include the 'Around View Monitor' that uses four cameras to give a 'top-down view' of the outside of the car, and 'Scratch Shield' - a new self-healing clearcoat paint. Predictably enough, the next turbocharged model - the facelifted 2015 Ferrari 458 Italia - is just round the corner. At the 2015 Geneva motor show, the Italian sports car maker is expected to launch the M458-T, otherwise known as the revised Ferrari 458 Italia.

Thu, 21 Apr 2011The gently tweaked 2012 Jaguar XK It’s not as big an overhaul as the 2012 Jaguar XF, but Jaguar has sensibly had a play to freshen up the XK and keep it looking crisp for a while longer, rolling out the 2012 Jaguar XK at the New York Motor Show. Changes to the XK for 2012 are pretty much as we predicted, although not quite as close to the Jaguar XKR-S as we’d thought likely. The main change on the nose is the arrival of the new headlights we saw on the XKR-S with integrated LED running lights.
