In September we told you about one of the world's oldest four-wheeled machines going up for auction at an RM event. In January 2012, the perfect companion piece to that $4.6 million horseless carriage is being sold--a 1894 Roper Steam-Powered Runabout motorbike. The Roper bike is the second of two built by Sylvester Roper of Roxbury, Mass., and is regarded as one of the world's oldest, predating the earliest Orient, Indian and Harley-Davidsons.

The new Porsche Boxster GTS struts its stuff on video Last week, Porsche revealed a new range-topping Boxster – the Boxster GTS – together with a new Cayman GTS, and appealing, range-topping versions they are too. Now we get the first video of the Boxster GTS, and we have to say it does underline just how appealing the Boxster now is. Yes, many consider the Boxster the Porsche for the buyer who can’t afford a 911.

First Chinese MGs built

Around 1000 visitors are gathering at the plant to join in with the celebrations, where the new, Chinese-built MGs will be on display (above). The first cars off the production lines are the MG TF and the MG 7, which Brits will remember as the MG ZT.
