Up for auction is a set of 4 used Maxxis HT3 racing go kart tires. The tires were professionally mounted and then ran for approximately 25-35 laps on all four. They have then been professionally mounted using Larry Jones tire rings on August 25th, 2016 and wet sanded using three grades of progressively finer sandpaper. They have been stored in a climate controlled environment and are ready to hit the track. All the tires are used, so they do have some scrapes and scratches from incidental racing contact (mostly on the side that was run to the outside). The specifics for the set are as follows: 4 - 12.0 x 9.00 - 6 used Maxxis HT3 tires without wheels. These tires measured 34" in circumference with 8 lbs of air when they were mounted on 10" wide wheels. They have approximately .054-.055 rubber remaining on one set, and .062-.065 on the other. I'm starting the auction at $.99 and will sell to the highest bidder regardless of price so bid accordingly! We expect there will be strong similarities between the production version of the new WRX and the WRX Concept we saw at the New York Show earlier this year, and this first teaser image does seem to show that. The statement bonnet scoop is firmly in place – with sharp crease lines flanking it – as is Subaru’s heaxagonal grill with a butch front bumper with big air intakes and mesh inserts.
Hyundai drops out of shrinking Tokyo auto show

Hyundai Motor Co., the last major foreign automaker which was scheduled to participate in next month's show, has decided to pull out with just weeks to go, organizers say. “Hyundai called last week and orally confirmed their intent to cancel,” said Toyokazu Ishida, who administers the international exhibition for the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association.
A tribute to Ermanno Cressoni

Ermanno Cressoni or 'Arch' as many of his designers affectionately referred to him, passed away on Thursday 30th June in Milan after battling with cancer for 13 months.'Arch' was a reference in car design and his contribution to our profession was much more important than stated in the press. As Alfa Romeo Centro Stile Director he directed the Alfetta berlina, the famous chrome GTV grille from the early seventies is attributed to him, as is the Giuglietta sedan of the late seventies, the Alfa 33, the 75, and many of the racing Alfas we adore from the late 60s and early 70s.
