GM/ Chevrolet Performance Piston assembly set OEM, bone stock.

8 complete pistons.

Includes pistons, Connecting Rod Studs and Nuts, rings, bearings, connecting rods and pins.

Was used with Cast Nodular Iron Crankshaft 14088526 ( I sold that but the guy didn't pay yet, it might get relisted)

Used in the 350 /5.7L Industrial long block circa 2003 and many other applications.  I don't see part numbers on them but I will try to look it up the GMPP catalogs of that era and add the information here. The connecting rods appear to be  (p/n 10108688): Powdered metal steel, the Pistons have cast inside the number 93432610 but I can't find that anywhere, these are probably standard size Pistons (P/N 12514101): Hypereutectic aluminum equivalents, but how do we tell? I'll look into this some more later.  If you know about this let me know :)

Used but barely, should be OK as is.  About as close to new as you can get.

This is from a 2003 standby Generator Set, 5.7L GM Vortec  industrial service long block, (Vortec 5700 Industrial Engine) fueled by natural gas via a Crusaders IM (never put into service, maintenance fired every month but never employed, then cycled out circa 2008 - five year cycle - when I purchased it)  It has sat in my shop since, I never fired it.  I am now parting the entire unit.  see my other listings for the rest of the parts you may need.

The pistons need some cleaning. I suppose a result of test firing cold and running rich, never ran hot enough to burn  that out.  Then It sat here indoors for 5 years and the piston faces hazed up a tad as did the upper rings, but that should all clean up fine.

The rings are on them, but you decide if you want to reuse them or not when you take them off to clean up the ring grooves.

Things you might want to offer on to go with this:  bearings, the rear seal, timing chain assembly, with electrical pickup, Harmonic balancer.  I'll get to the cam after I flip the block one day soon. Mains, bolts, oil shield, flywheel bolts, flywheel etc..

Use the shipping calculator or You can pick it up here for no shipping charge or send me a label and $5 to package.

Drunk Bohemian Rhapsody rendition in the back of a police car

Sat, 31 Mar 2012

Bohemian Rhapsody from a drunk in the back of a police car A man arrested for being drunk and disorderly pleads his case in the back of a police car, but decided a word-perfect rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody is better. We’ve all been there (well, we all have). A drink too many and your perspective on the world changes, and the world turns in to an unfair place.

Lotus Evora by Mansory (2011) at 2011 Geneva motor show

Thu, 10 Feb 2011

In the avalanche of hype surrounding Lotus's future ambitions, the current range of Lotus vehicles has been largely overlooked. With this in mind, Lotus has turned to an unexpected source to inject some media buzz and visual freshness into the Evora for the 2011 Geneva motor show: Mansory. Under the slogan 'Is it always wise to customise? If you must then do it with some style' Lotus has commissioned Mansory to customise the Evora – continuing the run of controversial new moves that the firm has made under CEO Dany Bahar’s leadership. Mansory has applied its well-known carbonfibre fetish to the Lotus coupe, bringing the Evora closer to the edgy styling cues of design chief Donato Coco’s next-generation Lotus concept cars.

Mon, 12 Sep 2011

Lamborghini tonight whisked the covers off the new £195,000 Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale supercar on the eve of the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. It’s the roadgoing version of the Super Trofeo race cars that compete in the European Blancpain Super Trofeo championship, a one-make series for Gallardos and their racier and richest owners. Hence the Stradale name – it’s Italian for road.
