New 2014 MINI revealed in pictures

The all-new 2014 MINI will today be revealed from the huge MINI factory in Oxford. The big reveal happens at 3pm and MSN Cars will be reporting from the event LIVE… …But the firm has already given us a couple of teasers that reveal some of the new car and give us an idea of what we can look forward to. They suggest evolution not revolution for the looks but suggest never-before-seen technology and gadgetry for the new MINI.

Jaguar to end XK production after 18 years

Jaguar will this summer cease production of the XK 2+2 GT car after 18 years at the top of the Coventry firm’s model range. The decision to stop making the XK comes after the hugely successful launch of the F-Type – which, say analysts, has led to a big fall in XK sales as thousands of buyers queues up to buy the F-Type. Volvo V40 teased again ahead of Geneva [w/video]

Volvo has released an unusual cartoon teaser video for its new five-door V40, together with an additional image. The animated video features a flock of birds perching on power lines before all but one fly off. Being left on its own to dance on the lines, before fading to black with the words 'Be One of a Kind' appearing before advertising the car's imminent arrival.  Meanwhile the image (left), showing the car in silhouette, gives little away about the design, unlike Volvo's first sneak peek (right), released in December last year.
