Exceptional Find:  A Set of Walker 740 Roll-A-Car Floor Jacks. Rescued from our local (E. Gray Smith Motorcar Co.) Packard Dealership at the close of business in 1956, having been in service there from about 1923.  These are the early lever-ratchet type jacks. (When I was a kid these types of jacks were seen in Betty Boop and Popeye cartoons, etc..., where they would repeatedly smack Grampy or Popeye in the chin as the car was being lowered)  Smooth action when lubed up and serviced.   

Youtube has a few videos of a "Walker 740 jack" being cycled up & down; take a look -- very interesting stuff.  

If you prefer to ship them, I'll drop them both off at my neighborhood UPS store free of charge and at a time convenient to you.  That way you may easily coordinate your shipping with the UPS agent right there over the phone.

Volkswagen, one of the biggest players in China's swelling car market, chose Beijing to unveil its latest E-Bugster - a good look at the forthcoming convertible version of the Beetle. We saw the E-Bugster in tin-top form at the 2012 Detroit auto show; now they've gone and chopped the top fully for Beijing. It's a two-seater speedster version of the Beetle hatch, driven by an 85kW electric drive system; essentially, the powertrain of this car is what will underpin the 2013 Blue-e-motion electric Golf.

Jaguar F-Type Coupe glitzy L.A. debut Jaguar promised the new F-Type Coupe would get a proper high-profile reveal on the eve of the Los Angeles Auto Show, and they certainly delivered. Jaguar’s design guru – Ian Callum – had told Jaguar’s PR people that he wanted the debut to be at speed, and that was achieved by driving the F-Type Coupe in to a specially prepared warehouse in California at 100mph, cutting a swathe through a series of sharp spotlights as the F-Type arrived in the arena.
