Audi previews future product plans

Audi's U.S. boss stopped by One AutoWeek Tower on Tuesday afternoon and offered us an update on the brand's future products. Here's what's happening in the next few years, straight from Audi of America president Johan de Nysschen.

One Lap of the Web: Packards -- Ask the man who knows way too much about one

-- For some light Wednesday reading, here's more information than you ever wanted to know about Packard. It includes the horrible neoclassics that plagued the 1970s, and the 1995 revival of the Packard name that attempted to stick a shortened rendition of the famous Packard grille in front of a 440-hp V12, all wrapped in a shape that looked like a melted Twix, as shown above. BMW i8 Spyder: Official

BMW i8 Spyder The BMW i8 Spyder – BMW’s open-top version of their i8 eco supercar – has been revealed ahead of a debut at the Beijing Motor Show later in April. Yesterday we had the first leaked picture of the BMW i8 Spyder, the next stage on BMW’s eco supercar journey, and the news the open top i8 was heading for the Beijing Motor Show. So BMW has decided to jump in with the official reveal of the i8 Spyder which gives us more than a couple of photos of the i8 to look through, although not much more in the way of detail than we surmised yesterday.
