Utilizing only daily calibrated state of the art CNC equipment, working in unison along with extremely high qualified master craftsmen, SGI Crankshafts has incorporated all the precision and detail with high production capabilities in a mass array of applications and designs. SGI C3-350 series crankshaft is features: 4340 AQ Chromalloy steel non-twist forgings; Multiple stage heat treatments; X-rayed; Magnafluxed and Sonic tested; Completely CNC machined with a two step micro polishing on the journals; Oil passages are cross drilled; Large radius, Crankshafts are plasma nitride to a minimum depth of 0.060; 3D exclusively designed arrow counterweights and gun drilled mains for 20% less crankcase windage than our competitors. 1 inch lightening holes in all 4 rod throws reduces rotating mass and helps eliminate the need of Mallory when balancing.

Fiat is challenging Vehicle Design students at London's Royal College of Art to explore how the Fiat 500 and the Panda might look in 2020 in a new contest called ‘Two of a Kind'. 14 teams of four students from across all design disciplines are asked to design innovative exterior and interior proposals taking interactivity, digital interface, sustainability and global appeal in account, using the Fiat design language as a starting point. The Master's students will be supported by six lectures at the RCA from some of the carmaker's top designers, such as head of design (Europe, Middle East and Asia regions) Roberto Giolito and head of global design Lorenzo Ramaciotti.
