Red Bull Racing's X2014 concept car to feature in GT6

Red Bull Racing has revealed its X2014 concept car that will feature in the upcoming Gran Turismo 6 racing game. The Formula 1 team's chief technical officer Adrian Newey worked alongside Polyphony Digital to develop the road car, which is obviously very much inspired by F1 car design. Elements such as the F1 car nose and low-hanging front spoiler are proof of this, although the design features headlamps and fenders surrounding the tires.

Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series Confirmed As long ago as September 2009 we had word from a Mercedes source who told us that AMG planned to build a Black Series version of the SLS, with as much as 700bhp mooted as a possibility. But then nothing for a year about the arrival of the ultimate SLS. We speculated at the time that Mercedes could well choose to endow the SLS Black Series with a V12 – something similar to the setup in the SL Black Series – and churn out an SLS Black with truly awesome power.

RM Auctions' Icons sale brings good return on customs

Hot-rod and custom-car enthusiasts came from across the country for RM Auctions' Icons of Speed and Style sale in Los Angeles on Saturday, which offered the entire collection of the Flying A Garage. Collector Ralph Whitworth had big plans to open a car museum in his native Winnemucca, Nev., and had assembled one of the greatest rod, custom and racing-car collections ever to make it happen. He housed it in a new, climate-controlled building in Winnemucca called the Flying A Garage and had plans to open a museum to draw interest to his hometown.
