So, even though we run regular car news every other day of the year, we get let off the leash to scatter to family gatherings and forget the travails of reporting the latest car news on Christmas Day. Built by Italian chassis developer Dallara and powered by a Nismo engine, the new 2014 Trophy racer looks likely to have impressive performance figures and, judging by Renault’s teaser picture, just as impressive styling. Adding to the racing pedigree is a 1,100kg weight, seven-speed sequential gearbox by Sadev and specially created Michelin tyres.
