Shields Nautiflex Corrugated Silicone Exhaust Hose has a blue silicone tube and cover with a smooth finish for easy cleaning. The hose is wire reinforced and will not collapse under suction or in a bend. The corrugated cover allows the hose to bend for easy installation. The Nautiflex, two ply construction, has wire captured between fabric plies. This hose is primarily used for main engine exhaust, generator exhaust, engine coolant circulation, engine intake and generator intake. It is resistant to exhaust fumes, ozone, mild chemicals, antifreeze and saltwater. The hose remains stable at elevated temperatures. The temperatures ranges from -20°F – +350°F. This hose meets SAEJ2006 Type R2 and ISO 13362:2004 – Type 1 – Class B standards.

LAND ROVER has unveiled a barely believable new technology that allows off-road drivers to effectively see through the bonnet all the way to the ground. Cameras mounted on the front grille film the terrain and transmit the visual feed to a head-up display for the driver. The alignment is set up to perfectly match the real angle of view beyond the bonnet, creating seamless visibility right back to the car’s wheels.

CDN announces second edition of Car Design Glossary

Car Design New has now published the second edition of the Car Design Glossary. Designed to enable budding designers  - and those wishing to describe the products of the designer's imagination - to decipher the language used in automotive studios, the Glossary was devised by David Browne, Course Director of Automotive Design at Coventry University School of Art & Design. He created the compilation of terms as an academic piece of research and collaborated with CDN to help generate feedback on these terms from designers themselves.
